sing-songs

this is the song that never ends...yes it goes on and on my friends...some people started singing it, not knowing what it was, but they'll just keep on singing it forever just because this is the song that never ends...

Song for the Dead

Songs are emotions in a lyrical form,
Emotions are in your mind, stirring up a storm.
Flying over the mountain tops and an endless sea
The vast journey has no end, so just let yourself be.

Crying out to blank walls will get you no place
What good are your pleas when you can’t even recognize your own face?
It’s a tale of sorrow, of shame and disgrace,
The meaning has slipped past you, yet you insist on the chase.

Lost inside an empty soul with nowhere to go, nowhere to be,
But an abandoned train station of visiting memories.

You are gone, with nothing left behind,
So long, there’s nothing left to find.
Your carcass is as lacking as your spirit
Your mind decomposing with nothing in it.

Tears were shed, good-byes were heard
We spoke of you fondly and your lessons learned
And how you shared your wisdom that moved us to the core,
The deceitful façade continues, the truth exists no more.

Lost inside an empty soul with nowhere to go, nowhere to be,
But an abandoned train station of visiting memories.

Hush, now, hush hush.
Breathe, now, gently so.
Forlorn, why you down?
Erase that frown, don’t look so low.

Choke back those guilty sobs
That arise from that flailing heart
Now’s not the time to feel sorry for yourself
If only you had been wise, if only you had been smart.
