Sometimes I'm right

Sometimes I'm wrong

Sometimes what I feel

Gets in the way of being strong

Sometimes I hurt

Sometimes I feel bad

Sometimes I'm joyous

And nothing makes me sad

When I look over my shoulder,

Look behind at my past

There's so much that lies ahead

Why do I shy away from this path?

When I take stock of my life

And the many mistakes that I made

There's so much to take away from

Learn from, to help me seize the day

And dust it all off

Some days I wonder

Will this help me grow?
