happiness

daily we strive for happiness...it seems to be the ultimate goal everyone wants to reach...sure, you hear about people wanting more money, wanting to become more beautiful, do more for others...but at the end, it's so that everyone can be happy. do we ever get to that point? where nothing else matters except us and our happiness that encompasses us in its embrace?

maybe there is no "point" where one lives "happily ever after"...maybe its bits and pieces that we pick up along the way and try to rearrange into the larger spectrum of things. getting that job you've been pining for, watching you child take his/her first step, holding your first grandchild...all of these happy moments...maybe if you store them in a bottle, throw in some rose petals and sunflower seeds, and a slice of honeydew, you got yourself "happiness"...ta-da...

there is no "there"...it's what was, what is, and what will be...
